We’re building new rooms every week so can often have your room delivered within a few days of completing paperwork.

Lease term: There is no limit on how long you can keep your room. Rooms are leased for a minimum term of 6 months, after that, it’s a month-by-month contract.
Ending your lease: You will need to provide one month’s notice in writing to end your lease (provided you have completed the minimum lease term). Email us at pickmeup@roomtomove.com.au to end your lease and arrange for your room to be collected.

A Room to Move member of staff will be onsite when your room is delivered to get you set up and ready to go - all you need to do is plug in an extension lead.
A standard delivery takes about an hour.
To deliver your room we need clear access of 2.8m wide and 3.5m high from the road to where you want the room to sit.
If you don’t have clear access it’s often possible to lift the room in using a crane truck or larger crane.

The area where your room will sit needs to be reasonably level and stable ground.
The larger 4.2m x 2.4m room requires approximately 6m x 3m of clear space.
The smaller 3.0m x 2.4m room requires approximately 4m x 3m of clear space.

We highly recommend booking your room in advance as there is often a waiting list. See the form at the bottom of the page to request a full quote and lease agreement.
To secure your room you will need to return a signed copy of our lease agreement and pay a non-refundable deposit of $500. The balance of the upfront costs will need to be paid prior to delivery.

Rent: is charged fortnightly in advance via Direct Debit.
The larger room (4.2m x 2.4m) is $195/week, billed at $390/fortnight
The smaller room (3.0m x 2.4m) is $165/week, billed at $330/fortnightDelivery and Pickup: Delivery within the Melbourne and Sydney metro areas is $250 (same at pick up). Bond: We hold a bond of $500 while you have the room
Upfront Costs: Before delivery, you will need to make payment for the bond, delivery fee and the first rent payment.
